In the morning, the State Security Service issued a sensational statement: a deeply secreted spy network, operating in the system of special services of Azerbaijan, was revealed. On charges of espionage, former employees of the Ministry of National Security, liquidated in 2015 for corruption and blackmail, were arrested, the public relations department of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan (SSS) reports. The statement cites specific names and positions of the uncovered spies, but does not name the country for which they secretly worked.

More than a sensation, even more than exposure and arrests, then convictions of employees (colonels, generals) of the National Security Ministry (NSM) for extortion and blackmail a few years ago. Those criminals robbed businessmen using telephone wiretaps and the power capabilities of the NSM. And they were spying for the enemy!

The practical collapse of the NSM began with the appointment to the post of the head of this secret organization of the former "trash", that is, police officer Eldar Mahmudov. He brought the NSM to the level of the office of dirty extortionists. They were arrested and convicted, and this year his accomplices are being released, but they do not arrest Mahmudov himself, as if he is a prophet and the son of God himself.

Now the second wave of criminals from the Mahmudov team, dismissed by the head of the State Security Council Madat Guliyev. I would like to ask him: how did the spies go through your filters?

Why do not they arrest Mahmudov? What makes him so dear, what incredible deserves he has to the country, that he calmly burns his fat at home?

Yesterday, in one of the Azerbaijani jails a new lawsuit was filed against the blogger Mehman Huseynov, who is to be released in two months. Circumstances show that the he is charged the way as the previous three political activists were re-convicted (former Health Minister Ali Insanov, PFPA activist Mamed Ibrahim and believer Telman Shiraliyev), whose release dates were over. Some are imprisoned for the second time, and Mahmudov, who has collapsed intelligence and state security, is drinking tea in an expensive villa, having fun at plasma TV. What kind of impenetrable Azerbaijani injustice is this?
