Baku to host festival of European films
Festival of European films, which is organized by the EU representation in Azerbaijan, Embassies of EU Member States, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, as well as a cinema "Park Cinema" will be held in Baku on 4-10 October.
According to the EU representative office, the Azerbaijani public will be presented modern works by European filmmakers, and the directors of these films.
The goal of the festival is to promote cultural relations between the EU and Azerbaijan, and the expansion of the knowledge of the Azerbaijani audience abut the European values.
The festival included screening of 15 films from 14 countries (Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Sweden and the United Kingdom.)
Films of different genres, including musical comedy, emotional drama, psychological thrillers, mysteries will be screened. Among the honored guests of the festival are Directors Algimantas Puipa from Lithuania, Rafael Lewandowski from Poland, and Eva Blondiau from Germany.
Tickets will be sold at the box office of "Park Cinemada" since September 25.

Some periods in cultural history have not been deeply studied, and finding precise, detailed information in the Azerbaijani language is nearly impossible. One such period is the Qajar era, which lasted from 1794 to 1985.
