The epos �DedeGorgud� is included in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage
Baku/28.11.18/Turan: Monument of oral folk art of the Turkic peoples, the epic "DedeGorgud" is included in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO.
The decision was taken at the regular 13th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of UNESCO, which takes place from November 26 to December 1 in Port Louis (Republic of Mauritius).
"The legacy of DedeGorgud: the culture of the epos, folk tales and music" is included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List," readsa joint statement by the ministries of culture and foreign affairs of Azerbaijan.
The initiators of the inclusion of the epos in the List of the Intangible Cultural Population of UNESCO are Azerbaijan, Turkey and Kazakhstan.
The representative of Armenia unsuccessfully tried to prevent the inclusion of the Azerbaijani part of the example of multinational culture "Heritage of DedeGorgud: the culture of epos, folk tales and music" in the UNESCO list. -06D--
