The idea of the reconstruction of Bayil castle
Young designers Rasul Hasanov and Ramiz Alili prepared the draft project of reconstruction the Bayil castle - historical building, built in the Middle Ages in Baku bay. This building of the 18th century served as the customs post and watchtower on reflection Baku's threats from the sea.
Subsequently, the fortress was destroyed and badly damaged as a result of sea-level rise.
Archaeologists have explored the remains of the fortress in the years 1930-40, when from the bottom of the sea were raised stone letter, which decorated a fortress. The idea of restoration of the fortress is not new, especially now, when the sea level fell again, and the remains of the fortress are clearly visible. Young designers use all available data, including satellite imagery in the reconstruction of the object in 3D.
"We hope that our version of the reconstruction will be used when a decision will be adopted to restore this historical object," Rasul Hasanov told Turan.
However, the designers have complained that various state organizations to which they appeal do not show interest in the project. -0-
