Activity in Property Market Reduced by 24.5% (UPDATED)
2016 April 20 (Wednesday) 13:33:41
In the first quarter of 2016 owners of the rights to more than 37 thousand objects of real estate were registered in Azerbaijan. This was 12,000 or 24.5% less than in the comparable period of 2015.
At a meeting of the State Property Affairs Committee it was noted that activity in the real estate market falls due to the secondary market. Whereas in January-March 2015 on contracts for the sale rights to 38,000 real estate objects were registered, this year this figure dropped to 26 thousand.
According to experts, the decline in activity in the property market is due to investor expectations of further fall in prices for real estate.
For the first time extracts from the register of real estate were provided on 11 thousand objects. The same number was recorded last year. -----08D
