AZERBAIJAN EXPORTS LESS OIL VIA RUSSIA
    BAKU/08.09.10/TURAN: SOCAR exported 1,475,976 tons of oil via Russia (through the Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline) in January-August 2010. This was 239,332 tons less than in the same period of 2009. The decrease resulted from SOCAR"s plan to increase its oil refining.
     SOCAR exported 214,274 tons of oil in this way in August.
     The index was 2,479,971 tons in 2009 and 1,196,547 tons in 2008. This year SOCAR plans to export 2.2 million tons through Russia.
     * Azerbaijan pays a transit fee of $15.67 per ton for exporting its oil via Russia. --12В--
