CONSUMER PRICES JUMP UP AGAIN
    BAKU/08.09.10/TURAN: Consumer prices began to grow in Azerbaijan in August again after the four-month interruption. Inflation was at +0.7%. The surplus was at +1% for foods and at +0.2% for non-foods and services. The prices grew for wheat flour, bread, macaroni, beef, kefir, cheese, eggs, butter, vegetable oil, several vegetables and bananas. They decreased for chicken, fresh fish, non-pasteurized milk, sour cream, several fruits and berries. As for non-foods, the prices of shoes and clothes reduced, while those of building materials increased. As for services, airway and railway tickets to CIS countries rose in the prices.
     The consumer prices grew by 2.6% in the first eight months of 2010. The prices of foods grew by 4.2%.
     Inflation was at +5.6% in August 2010 against August 2009. It was at +5% in January-August 2010 against the same period of 2009. --10D--
