Contracts signed for the preparation of master plans for five cities
The State Committee (SC) for Urban Planning and Architecture has signed contracts to develop master plans for five cities.
In SC they told Turan the master plans will be developed together with the detailed project planning of cities. Design companies have been selected by tender. The contract for the preparation of the general plan of the city Hajigabul has been signed with LLC Azikh, for Siyazan - with LLC Renaissance Studio, for Yardimli - with LLC En & En, for Zardab - with Arxin-M Ltd and for Zagatala - National Institute for General Architecture Projects (Azermemarlayihe).
In Azerbaijan, there are 77 cities, 11 of which are under occupation of Armenian armed forces. In 2009-2011, master plans for 12 cities were approved. In March of this year, work was completed on drawing up a master plan for the city of Sheki, which will soon be submitted to the Cabinet for approval. By the end of this year, they have scheduled completion of the general plans for the cities of Ganja, Sumgait and Khirdalan. -08B-
