Due to Chinese Grant Azerbaijan Imports Sanitary Construction Equipment
Recently, 163 vehicles for sanitary and domestic purposes have been delivered to Baku. They were purchased through technical assistance from China to the Government of Azerbaijan.
The public services for health and community of the capital and other cities, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, will receive 130 cars for transportation of solid waste, 20 vehicles that collect waste water and 13 water trucks valued at $ 8 million. All the equipment was manufactured by the Chinese company JAC Motors.
China has also provided 30 additional containers for the collection of household waste.
The Chinese Government has provided technical assistance to Azerbaijan in the amount of $ 24.5 million to improve the sanitary and utility infrastructure.
The Azerbaijani Government has allocated from the reserve fund of the state budget funds to produce 6,910 containers. The order for manufacturing these containers until the end of this year has been received by Ltd. Baki Universal Mashinqayirma. - 08D-

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
