Extended benefits for IDPs in public sector
The Azerbaijani government has extended the validity of the decision on the improvement of the living conditions of internally displaced persons, deprived of employment for reasons beyond their control, to January 1, 2014.
According to the website of the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan with reference to the decision № 21 dated 11 February 2013 (http://cabmin.gov.az/?/az/pressreliz/view/909),
duration of the 2nd unit of decision № 181 from 10 May 1994 the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan Republic "On measures to improve the living conditions of internally displaced persons who have worked in the budgetary institutions and organizations, deprived of jobs through no fault of their reasons and job security" has been extended until January 1, 2014.
In connection with the execution of the decision of Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and other relevant government bodies and executive authorities of the occupied areas to strengthen the work entrusted to receive IDPs for vacancies within their structures.
Progress report should be submitted quarterly to the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare requested to take appropriate action in relation to employment of IDPs who applied to the employment services in accordance with the legislation. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
