In November, food in Baku and other cities of Azerbaijan fell in price by an average of 0.2%.
The drop in the price of eggs was 20%, and butter got cheaper by 3.4%. Local confectionery rose by 10%. Prices of other products remained stable. Prices of agricultural products also showed stability.
As noted by the experts, price stability was achieved by alternately increasing and decreasing prices of some type of goods. "The prices of some goods rise and fall each month, such as eggs, butter and oil," said one expert.
In connection with the New Year holidays at the end of the year some increase in food prices is expected.
