Government Offers Entrepreneurs Rental Premises
The State Committee for Property Affairs (SCPA) of Azerbaijan has announced holding of tenders for the lease of eight buildings in Baku and regions of the country to businesses.
Earlier SCPA planned to bring these objects for rent to budding young entrepreneurs at an affordable price. But for some unknown reasons, the authorities’ plans changed.
The premises are located in the transparent public project institute Azerarhitektorproekt, Technical University, Statistics Department of the Salyan district and the Training Center of the Ministry of Taxes in the Shamakhi region. These rooms ranging from 31 to 75 square meters are suitable for use in the office, providing a variety of services. The starting price for 1 sq. m, depending on the location varies from 0.50 to 3.30 manat.
SCPA rarely holds competitions for the lease of state property. A lease for land is at all kept confidential. ----08D

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
