In May, Azerbaijan received 491 vehicles, 111 more than in April.
According to the State Customs Committee, in January-May purchased abroad were 2,233 cars, 13,262 or 6.9 times less than in the comparable period of 2015.
Since the beginning of the year 1,939 cars, 32 buses, 204 trucks and 58 units special equipment have been supplied.
Reducing the number of imported cars is a sign of deep recession in the economy of Azerbaijan. Not only the official representatives of automobile companies, but also the banking and service sectors and others lose from this. The decline in car import has been observed since 2014. -----08D
