Imports of passenger cars increases by 2.8 %
Over the first ten months of this year Azerbaijan imported 84,791 cars, this is by 0.1% more than in the comparable period of 2012.
According to the State Customs Committee (SCC), during this period of the year, official representatives and dealers , as well as individuals on the country delivered 76,956 units of passenger cars, which is by 2.8 % more than in the same period last year. Nothing is reported about the structure of their cars.
This year imports of other types of special equipment, buses and trucks has decreased. Since the beginning of the year 737 units of tractors , excavators , bulldozers, cranes and other motor vehicles have been imported; this is by 21.1 % less than over 10 months in 2012. In addition 690 buses and minibuses ( minus 204) and 6,408 trucks ( minus 1587) were imported.
Since January 2014 Azerbaijan revises the minimum requirements for motor vehicles with environmental requirements. It is expected to allow the import of vehicles that comply with the Euro-3 standards. --08D--

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.

According to operational data from the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan, in January 2025, the country produced 2.3 million tons of oil, including condensate, and 3.9 billion cubic meters of gas.
