BAKU/08.01.14/TURAN : Trading volume in the currency section of the Baku Interbank Currency Exchange (BBVB) in December 2013 was $ 43,975 million and 34,495 million manat.
Compared to the previous month total currency trading increased by 3,152 million or 10% , as compared to December 2012 decreased by 45.9% .
The average volume of each transaction in e-trading system on USD / AZN reached in December $ 2,199 million , the average daily turnover - $ 1,912 million
Just BBVB auction in December 2013 attended 8 banks . In the reporting month, BEST held 46 trading sessions and recorded 20 transactions .
The total volume of trading on the BBVB in the last year amounted to 439.66 million manat. , Which is 40.4% less than the previous year. In 2012, the decline in foreign exchange trading was 27 %.
Exchange rate of national currency on tool USD / AZN_TOD in the reporting month remained unchanged at 0.7835 for 1 USD. The average rate of the U.S. dollar against the manat in December 0,7844 AZN for 1 USD, while in November it was equal 0,7843 AZN.
The monthly average interest rate calculated on the basis of banks' applications market makers in BakIBOR loans up to 90 days in December 2013 amounted to 10.23 % per annum in manats and 10.66 % in U.S. dollars. BakIBID bet up to 90 days was 4.60 % per annum in local money and 4.59% in U.S. dollars. - 15D -

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
