Gas and electricity prices for the population could go up by 4.3% in Russia in 2014, because of revision of the inflation forecast up to 6.2%, Russian Minister of Economic Development Aleksey Ulyukayev said.

As the Ministry of Economic Development increased the forecast of growth of consumer prices up to 6.2%, the growth of tariff for the population could constitute 4.3%, confirmed Ulyukayev. He added that judging by all, the government will have to revise the recently made decisions.
Asked if the tariffs could continue grow, if real inflation rate exceeds the updated forecast, Minister said:”Yes. We mean actual inflation of previous year, we will calculate the actual inflation index, reported http://itar-tass.com.--0--
