Insurers Paid More Than 1.7 Million AZN on CTP in January
The average amount of insurance payments under compulsory insurance of civil liability of owners of vehicles (CTP) in January amounted to 1 082 manat.
According to the information on the website of the Bureau of Compulsory Insurance (BCI), the aggregate amount of payments due to damage to vehicles was 1 million 743 thousand 769 manat. Of the total amount of compensation 66% of the total payments were up to 1,000 manat, 26% - from 1,000 to 3,000 manat and 8% - from 3,000 to 5,000 manat.
The maximum (within the CTP) insurance amount for property damage is 5,000 manat, damage to health (for one person) is 5,000 manat, and the total limit for one event is 50,000 manat.
BCI was created as part of the requirements of the law "On compulsory types of insurance." The Bureau members are 15 insurance companies, and 11 of them have the right to provide services for CTP. --17D-
