The article notes that through his wife Abid Sharifov controls at least 12.15% of shares of the construction and industrial corporation EVRASCON. In terms of capitalization the company had 14.5 million manats in 2012. Sharifov also owns the leisure center Sheki Park in the Sheki region. The son of the Deputy Prime Minister holds the position of head of the Absheron branch of OJSC International Bank of Azerbaijan.
Prior to 2005, all members of the Sharifov family and their close relatives were shareholders of Azernegliyyat Bank. They sold their stake in the bank to two companies (ADOR and Azenco Group), which belong to the family of President Ilham Aliyev, the article says. ----08D
