Ministry of Communications - Member of Board of Trustees of Quality of Service of Universal Postal Union
Yesterday the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies of Azerbaijan was elected a member of the Board of Trustees of the Quality of Service Fund - QSF of the Universal Postal Union (UPU).
According to the Ministry, the intention of the local government was realized in Switzerland in the spring session of the UPU, which ended May 1. Georgia was the competitor of Azerbaijan from Eastern Europe during the vote, which was attended by 40 countries-members of the council.
The structure will be represented by the chief consultant of the postal sector of the Ministry of Communications Nasir Hamidov.
QSF finances projects designed to improve the quality of postal administrations in developing countries. Its means are formed by annual allocations from the industrialized countries. The purpose of the Fund is improving the quality of life of the international letter-post items, mainly shortening the passage, stability, improving the safety of postal items.
The functions of the Board of Trustees are review, presentation and approval of the conclusions of the projects developed by the postal administrations of developing countries and to improve the quality of postal service in these countries. --17D-
