Newspapers and Magazines in Azerbaijan Received from Advertising 244,000 manats
In 2014, the income of state and private entities, as well as the municipalities of advertising activity was 67.3 million manats, which is 17.9% more than in the previous year.
This year, according to the requirements of the law "On Advertising", the State Statistics Committee published the first data on the spread of certain types of advertising materials, where the primacy belongs to the television.
The State Statistics Committee told Turan on request that for a year income from distribution of outdoor advertising accounted for 3 million 663.9 thousand manats. Revenue flows of Azeryolservis at the Ministry of Transport, Executive Power of Baku city, other local authorities and self-government.
Transport companies earn advertising much more - 5 million 323.6 thousand manats. Of these, only 6.9 thousand manats accounted for the Baku Metro. Since March last year, the new management of the subway suddenly ordered to remove all advertising materials on the territory of the subway up to the cars.
Revenues from media distribution of advertising was 25.1 million manats, of which 22 million 665.9 thousand manats accounted for television, including four state (AzTV, Public, Culture, Sport).
Broadcasting companies earn from advertising 1 million 376 thousand manats, newspapers and magazines - 244 thousand manats. Thus, the share of print media accounted for only 0.36% "advertising threshold" in Azerbaijan.
The most growing sector is the Internet, which has no corresponding tax control. In 2014, Azerbaijan declared the sites advertising revenue of only 775.2 thousand manats.
In addition, the development of the advertising information has been generated via 15 million 326.2 thousand manats, their placement - 17 million 868 thousand manats.
The costs of advertising campaigns solely on advertising amounted to 51.4 million manats, decreasing by 4.4%.
In 2014 it was signed 3242 contracts to perform advertising services. Activity increased na38,6%. The total cost of work (64.2 million manats) of these contracts decreased by 3.2%. -----08B
