NFES has identified priority areas of lending, Sabunchu district
BAKU/29.07.13/TURAN The National Entrepreneurship Support Fund under the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan has started to receive projects from the owners in priority areas in Mashtaga, Sabunchu.
As stated in the ministry, there will be accepted projects for the creation of small and medium-sized greenhouses, vineyards and olive farms.
From today, subjects have a right to apply to the fund through authorized credit institutions, the report said.
NFES was established in 1992 and its active lending began in 2002. Issuance of loans to entrepreneurs is provided by 38 authorized banks and non-banking credit organizations. In 2012 the fund to finance 2,400 investment projects allocated 218 million manat. NFES loans in 2013 are forecast at 250 million manats.
Since the beginning of the year, to finance 2,536 investment projects there has already been allocated 196.5 million manat. - 15D

Azerbaijan’s imports of animal and vegetable fats and oils climbed 23.9% by weight and 16.2% by value from January to September 2024, official data revealed. Despite the uptick in volume, the import cost of these products saw a decrease compared to the same period last year, with the cost per ton of vegetable oil falling by 6.1% to $1,199.6 in 2024, down from $1,278.6 in 2023.
