Number of Targeted Social Assistance Recipients Reduced
In January-April targeted social aid was received by 113,455 families (494,892 people).
According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, it is 26,774 families, or 19% less than on May 1 of last year. The reason for this phenomenon is the provision of feasible income in social projects to citizens wishing to exit the low-income category.
Moreover, the reduction in the number of beneficiaries has led to increase in the amount of aid by 14.5% - by 1 May, the figure was 144.98 manat per family, or 33.24 manat per recipient per month.
Targeted social assistance covers 234,990 people under the age of 18 years, including 5,507 people with disabilities and 6,329 infants aged up to one year. 32,550 families receiving targeted social help have three or more children. --17D-
