Number of Unemployed Increased by 8,200 in Q4
In the fourth quarter of 2015 the number of unemployed in Azerbaijan increased by 8.2 thousand people. At the beginning of January this year there were 243.7 thousand unemployed, the State Statistics Committee told Turan.
In Azerbaijan the number of unemployed dropped to the level of the IV quarter of 2012. Over the past three years, according to estimates of SSC, the number of people employed in the economy increased 226.3 thousand.
Only in the IV quarter of 2015 the number of people employed in the economy increased by 15 thousand and reached 4 million 671.6 thousand.
Note that the official status of the unemployed is enjoyed by 28.9 thousand people. ----08D
