Parliament Discusses Town Planning Code
Today in the next meeting of the spring session of the Milli Majlis deputies in the first reading are discussing changes to the Town Planning Code of the Azerbaijan Republic. We are talking about simplifying the permission to private construction. If previously assumed was exclusively private housing construction, it is now planned to expand the concept.
The changes will affect the following articles of the Town Planning Code: 75, 80 and 82. According to the innovation (Art. 75), a building permit is issued on the basis of acting in respect of the territory development of a detailed plan, subject to the need for zoning designation, the basic conditions and the type and scale of construction, and related regulations, taking into account the buildings located around.
Under Article 75.4, if before the relevant structures of the Executive Power had to express their opinion on the draft within 1 month, in a new version, they will have 15 days.
According to Article 75.6, the application for construction, taking into account the comments received are considered within 3 months, is expected to reduce the term of up to 1 month.
Article 80. Added section 80.1-1, where it is said that the construction of buildings, not providing accommodation and meeting people, as well as production activities with total area of 1400 sq. m., the area of the construction site of 1,000 square meters and a height of not more than 3 floors carried out in order notice. The height of each floor is not higher than 3 meters.
Paragraphs 2 to 4 of Article 80 - instead of the term "house" there is "building site", involving non-residential buildings, too. --17D-
