Baku/19.12.13/Turan : For the nine months of this year, revenues from local airlines freight amounted to 354 886.9 thousand manats, which is 32.9 % more than in the first three quarters of 2012 . Thus, the volume of freight traffic in the mentioned period increased by 87.2 % , the State Statistics Committee told Turan .
The implementation of transport airlines spent 265 615.3 thousand manats, or 38.9 % more than 9 months of last year. Thus, they gained AZN 89.2 million ($ 108 million ) of the book profits.
Azerbaijan sector of cargo transport companies is controlled by Silk Way Airlines and Silk Way West, which are affiliated with a group of companies Silk Way Holding. The first of these companies was established in 2001 and has 7 IL -76 and 3 AN-12 planes. Since July 1, bus and metro fares have increased by 10 qəpik, reaching 50 qəpik. The fare for buses on the Baku-Sumgayit route has risen from 60 qəpik to 70 qəpik.
