Russia is second trading partner of Azerbaijan after the EU
With a weight of 8.4% Russia came in the second place in the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan in January this year.
In 2012, the Russian Federation with $ 2338 million was ahead of many strategic trading partners, including Turkey ($ 2,120 million).
The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan said that in January of this year, Azerbaijan had a positive balance of foreign trade in Russia. Merchandise exports to that country amounted to about $ 109 million, an increase compared to the same month last year by 82.5%. Azerbaijan imported Russian goods for a total of $ 105 million which is 9.9% more than in the same period of 2012.
In January, Russia with 16.8% became the leader of the Azerbaijani imports, ahead of Turkey ($ 84 million) by 3.4%.
Overall, Italy, through which Azerbaijani oil flows into Western Europe, still ranks first in the country's foreign trade with the index of $511 million in January of this year. The geography of oil export from Azerbaijan is expanding with each passing month. Compared with January 2012 oil exports to Italy decreased by 35%. In January, the Azerbaijani oil "flowed" to India, Thailand, Austria, Portugal, Israel, Romania, Indonesia and other countries. - 08D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
