Sixteen Public Facilities Sold from Auction
The 27 September auction sold 13 small businesses and the shares of 3 JSCs, Turan was told in the State Committee for Property Affairs.
Only four of the privatized enterprises and small facilities are located in Baku. Investors have shown big interest in the objects in the regions of the country.
The next auction will be held on October 11, in which investors are offered 85 state enterprises and objects, including from 30% to 45% of the shares of 30 joint-stock companies.

Azerbaijan's financial standing continues to strengthen as the country's foreign currency reserves have surged to $71 billion as of January 1, 2025, according to the Ministry of Finance. This figure, which includes reserves held by the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), far exceeds the nation's external debt, which stands at a fraction of its reserves, specifically nearly 14 times less. This robust reserve position reflects Azerbaijan's fiscal stability and the government’s strategic economic management.
