Sown Area under Grain and Leguminous Crops Decreased by 7.7%
This year, the area under grain and leguminous crops with corn totaled 916.2 thousand, decreasing by 7.7%, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
Specialists of the Ministry of Agriculture as a whole assessed as unsatisfactory the level of use of fertilizers and plant protection products. At the same time the area under cereals at the moment is regarded as "good". Harvest begins in mid-June.
Last year, the area under cereals and legumes in Azerbaijan amounted to 992.7 thousand ha, and 2 million 283.3 thousand tons of crops were collected. The yield was 24 quintals / ha. --08D

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
