Starting Today, Special System for Testing Large-sized Cargoes Applied at Customs
Since February 1, the State Customs Committee has been applying the latest technology to control railway freight cars moving in the direction of Georgia and Russia.
The equipment from Smiths Heimann (Germany) allows checking of cargo without opening the means of transport or unloading, the State Customs Committee told Turan.
The inspection system is installed on the railways at the entrance and exit of the customs border of Azerbaijan and enables to check large loads in cars for the presence of dangerous goods even during the movement, the state committee said.
Previously, the system was installed at all the customs checkpoints on the road routes. -08D-
