The export structure does not include technological and innovative products
Azerbaijan has comparable superiority on about 30 sub-groups of the exported goods. However, they do not refer to finished goods. Turan was told by the Deputy Head of the Public Association "Assistance to Economic Initiatives" Rovshan Agayev.
Based on the results of his research, Azerbaijan is not an exporter of innovative and high-tech goods. In this regard, the expert believes that it allows us to estimate the country's economy in terms of its competitiveness and diversification.
In international trade, used are 1,268 product subgroups. China has a comparable superiority on 560, and Russia - on 150 of them. Comparable superiority is determined by identifying the factors balance in favor of exports of the different subgroups of goods.
According to the State Customs Committee, this year over 92% of exports accounted for by energy. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly said that the country's economy in terms of competitiveness is one of the leading in the world.
