The Popularity of Google Chrome Grows in Azerbaijan
Local Internet service users prefer the browser Google Chrome.
According to the latest Global Stats (http://gs.statcounter.com/#browser-AZ-monthly-201108-201208), from August 2011 to August 2012 it was slightly ahead of its main competitor - Opera. It started with 24% last year and reached 40% in 2012. The competitor was the leader with 31%, and now it is used by 38% of the users.
Three other popular browsers are: Internet Explorer (fell from 28 to 11%), Mozilla Firefox (fell from 15 to 8%), and Safari (remained at 1% popularity among the citizens of Azerbaijan). Other browsers have an even smaller audience. - 17C-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
