Transfers from State Oil Fund to State Budget by April 1 Amounted to 49.3% of Total Revenues
Azerbaijan's state budget in the first quarter had a deficit of 251 million manat or 2.2% of GDP.
According to the information on the website the Ministry of Finance, by April 1, total budget revenues amounted to 3 billion 938,800,000 manat. Transfers from the State Oil Fund were in the lead, as usual, - 1 billion 941,700,000 manat or 49.3% of total revenues. Revenues by the Ministry of Taxes amounted to 1 billion 594,800,000 manat. The State Customs Committee gave 341.9 million manat and "other income " was 11.8 million manat.
The total expenditure by April 1 was at 4 billion 198,800,000 manat. In the investments 911,600,000 manat was spent on infrastructure projects, 507.7 million manat - to finance social projects, and 10.2 million manat - to finance projects in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. Social spending in aggregate absorbed 1 billion 380,600,000 manat (33% of total budget expenditures).
Though there are no absolute figures for some items, the amount of funding the defense capability increased 24.2% and that for health care - by 7%.
The budget revenues for 2015 have been approved at 19 billion 438 million manat and the expenses - 21 billion 100 million manat by the head of state. The deficit is projected at 1 billion 662 million manat or 2.8% of GDP.--17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
