Tunnel Type Sewer Built in Absheron
JSC Azersu is to build a new sewerage infrastructure in the city of Baku and Absheron peninsula and improve the environmental situation started construction of a tunnel type sewer Khyrdalan - Khojasan.
The length of the reservoir will be 14,750 m with 2.2-2.8 m in diameter. The tunnel will be laid at a depth of 32-49 m, ??Turan was told in the press service of JSC Azersu.
The new collector will be put into operation in 2015. Formed in Khyrdalan and the Masazir settlement and surrounding areas, wastewater is being forwarded to the Hovsan aeration station using the sewer network of the city of Baku, which requires a great expenditure of energy.
The new collector will provide the water flow by gravity under the Khojasan hills in the direction of Lokbatan. Water treatment plants will be built, and from them the treated water will flow to the Caspian Sea.
The cost of the project is not reported. In 2013, Azersu will receive 734.4 million manat from the state budget for the implementation of investment projects. In 2012, these expenditures made up from the same source 580 million manats. -08B -
