XXII Caspian Oil and Gas 2015 exhibition to open in Baku tomorrow
The XXII Caspian Oil and Gas 2015 exhibition will take place in the Baku Expo Centre from June 2 through 5, 2015.
The exhibition is the key event in the oil and gas field in the region and for over 20 years the exhibition and conference gathers together high level leaders to discuss the key oil and gas projects in the Caspian region and energy safety.
Iteca Caspian LLC company, the organizer of the conference, told Turan that the Caspian Oil & Gas is supported by the Azerbaijan Energy Ministry and SOCAR.
Over 300 companies take part at the Caspian Oil & Gas 2015. The exhibition will costs of the following sections: innovative technologies in the oil production and transportation of energy resources, oil and gas storage systems, existing and future oil and gas projects in the region and many others.
The international conference Caspian Oil & Gas, which will take at JW Marriott Absheron Baku hotel on June 3 and 4, is an important component of the business program.
Over 500 delegates from over 300 world countries will take part at the annual conference. This year over 50 representatives of state agencies, leading experts of the oil and gas industry and leaders of big oil and gas companies from various world countries are expected to make a speech.—0—

Azerbaijan’s economy, which is heavily dependent on oil revenues, faces a stark warning in the 2021 report by Carbon Tracker titled “Beyond the Oil States: The Urgent Need to Reduce Dependence on Oil in the Context of the Energy Transition.” The report ranks Azerbaijan among the most vulnerable oil-dependent countries, placing it in the "5th group" — a category reserved for nations expected to experience a decline in oil and gas revenues exceeding 40% over the next decade. This group includes Angola, Bahrain, Timor-Leste, Equatorial Guinea, Oman, and South Sudan, highlighting shared economic risks for these states.

In Azerbaijan, the government has increasingly relied on tax exemptions for imported goods as a tool to stabilize domestic market prices.
