Arlem Desir plans to visit Azerbaijan by the end of the year
Baku / 13.09.18 / Turan: On Wednesday, within the framework of the Human Dimension Conference in Warsaw, the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Arlem Desir, discussed the media situation in Azerbaijan with the executive director of the Institute for Reporters' Freedom and Safety, Emin Huseynov. About this Desir wrote on his microblog on Twitter.
In turn, Huseynov told Turan that he informed Desir about the problems with media freedom in Azerbaijan, about arrested journalists and bloggers, the blocking of websites and other violations of freedom of expression. According to Huseynov, Desir noted that he was not yet in Azerbaijan as OSCE special representative for media freedom and hopes to carry out such a visit before the end of the year.

According to a report by Turan correspondent, the discussions took place behind closed doors and lasted for over an hour. No statements were made to the press following the meeting.
