Armenia declines an offer of Baku on the exchange
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, said that his department refused the latest offer of Baku on prisoner and dead bodies exchange. According to him, the Armenian side believes that the body of Karen Petrosyan should be transferred without any preconditions.
"When Azerbaijan began bargaining, we agreed to return them to the body of Hasan Hasanov, but Armenia will not agree to other steps. We are the dictating party, and we are not going to do what Azerbaijan," said Hovhannisyan.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Ali Hasanov said that the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry offered the Defense Ministry proposed to exchange Armenian family of 5 people and the body of the deceased in captivity Armenian (Karen Petrosyan) on the Azerbaijani hostages Shahbaz Guliyev and Dilgam Asgarov, as well as on the body of the murdered Armenians Hasan Hasanov.
The Armenian side transferred through the Red Cross that it is ready to exchange Armenian family and the body of an Armenian only the body Hasan Hasanov. However, Baku does not agree, the vice premier said.
It should be noted that the Armenian family of five people, a few years ago ran to Azerbaijan and requested asylum. This family is trying to travel to a third country.
Dilgam Askerov Shahbaz Guliyev were captured by Armenians in Kalbajar region. The third member of the group, Hasan Hasanov was killed.-02D-
