Armenian Diaspora Actually Finances Terrorism - H. Hajiyev
Baku / 06.11.20 / Turan: Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev said that the Armenian diaspora of mediocre non-governmental organizations collects funds and finances the Armenian army fighting in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. This is evidenced by the correspondence of Armenians in social networks, he noted.
This is not the first time that the Armenian diaspora, hiding behind NGOs and charitable organizations, has been collecting funds to support illegal activities in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan, to purchase weapons and continue the war. The funds are transferred to the separatists' accounts in Karabakh, which in fact is the financing of terrorism.
“In accordance with the 1999 International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism and 4 UN Security Council Resolutions No. 1373 (2001), 2178 (2014), 2195 (2014) and 2347 (2017), non-profit organizations in the above areas are regarded as financing of terrorism,” Hajiyev said.
Azerbaijan calls on the UN member states to prevent the use of their territories to finance the Armenian terror directed against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country, Hikmet Hajiyev stressed. -02D-
