А.Буше: основатели АНР разделяли ценности французской демократии
Baku/14.07.18/Turan: France and Azerbaijan have an active dialogue in a number of spheres, and the high level visits are evidence of this, said the French Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Aurelia Bouchez , on July 14 at a reception dedicated to the national holiday of her country - the Day of the Bastille. The ambassador reminded that on January 16 of this year Azerbaijani Foreign Minister, Elmar Mammadyarov, visited Paris, and on May 28 the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian visited Baku. On July 20, the ambassador continued, "Paris will have the honor of hosting President Ilham Aliyev, who will have the first meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron."
In her view, this visit will enhance the quality of the partnership between Paris and Baku and confirm France's active involvement in the Karabakh settlement as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group. According to Aurelia Bouchez, the high-level talks in Paris will give an impetus to deepening economic partnership in the light of reforms in Azerbaijan. Baku and Paris continue active cooperation in the sphere of education and culture.
This year, further noted the ambassador, is significant for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Azerbaijan People's Republic (APR), whose founders were committed to the ideas of "Freedom, equality and brotherhood", originating from the Great French Revolution and becoming the motto of modern France.
For his part, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Mahmud Mammadguliyev expressed confidence that the upcoming visit of the Azerbaijani President to Paris will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations and will become an opportunity to increase the attention of France, as the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair, for intensifying efforts to settle the Karabakh conflict.-06B--
