Azerbaijan estimates the damage from the occupation at $100 billion.
Vice-premier, chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and IDPs of Azerbaijan Republic, Ali Hasanov, has made contradictory statements about the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
At conference "Counting damage from occurring conflicts" in Baku, Hasanov called that damage as a result of Armenian occupation totaled $100 billion. At the same time, he said that the damage should be evaluated by international experts, and even invited non-governmental organizations to participate in the assessment of the damage; but more confusion made a statement about the final government program on restoration of the occupied territories after their de-occupation. The vice-prime minister did not say the amount of estimation. However, he warned the Armenian side, that it would have to pay for their deeds.
Hasanov also expressed dissatisfaction with the statement of UN Secretary-General on the over-quoted arming the Azerbaijani army. We do not believe we buy weapons over-quote, Azerbaijan strengthens its defensive power.
Stressing that our country is ready to comply with the order of the Chief Commander on the liberation of the territories from the enemy, Hasanov, at the same time, reproached the UN Secretary General of non-executing the resolutions of the UN Security Council on the liberation of occupied Azerbaijani territories.
Deputy Prime Minister also pointed to the threat from the occupied territories, which according to him, have become centers for training international terrorists and drug trafficking from Afghanistan to Europe.
