Bako Sahakyan makes a speech at Chatham House
Yerevan/08.07.15/Turan- ArmInfo: The leader of the separatists Bako Sahakyan made today a speech in the British Institute of International Affairs Chatham House. According to Armenian media, in front of the institute held a protest members of the European Azerbaijan Society (TEAS.) Earlier Chatham House removed from the list of events the report on the speech of Sahakyan, but did not cancel his performance.
Official Baku has expressed strong protest, and the Foreign Ministry invited the Ambassador of Great Britain, however, Chatham House said in its statement that it does not recognize the independence of Nagorno-Karabakh, and the event has an academic nature.
The British Embassy in Azerbaijan also issued a statement, calling that the visit of Sahakyan to London was "private". The embassy also stressed that the British authorities cannot prevent private visits. -02D-

On November 18, a single-person protest took place in the "Green Zone" at COP29. The protest was held by Ismail Djafarsoy, a technical staff member at the event. Djafarsoy claimed that the rights of over 500 workers were being violated, as they had not been paid their wages. According to him, workers hired for the month of November were promised a daily payment of 20 manats.
