Baku and Kiev will ignore the Donbass and Nagorno-Karabakh
Ukraine and Azerbaijan have agreed not to pass goods produced in the uncontrolled territories of Baku and Kiev, without the approval of the authorities, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Alexander Mishchenko said the “Interfax” agency.
"During the visit of the President Petro Poroshenko in Baku two heads of state gave instructions to the heads of customs bodies of Azerbaijan and Ukraine to meet and discuss the issue of release of goods originating from the occupied territories of the two countries. The heads of customs agencies have met and worked out a mechanism according to which products from these areas can be supplied in that case, if they had been licensed by the central authorities - Kiev and Baku," Mishchenko said.
According to the diplomat, the goods produced in Nagorno-Karabakh, can cross the border of Ukraine only with the approval of Baku. A similar scheme applies Azerbaijan in respect of goods originating from the Donbas. "For example, the marking on champagne. If there is written Ukraine, Artemovsk Plant (Donbass), then everything is fine. And if any of that New Russia or something else is in this spirit, then Azerbaijan will not accept them. This approach applies to the goods of the Nagorno-Karabakh," said Mishchenko. -02D-
