CEC Forgot about Voters in Nasimi District
Baku / 10.04.18 / Turan: Residents of the house at the address: 628 Jalil Mammadguluzadeh Street, Quarter 73 F appealed to the agency Turan with a complaint about the election commission.
The appeal noted that all three last election campaigns, including the referendum, passed without the participation of tenants of this house. Now on the eve of the presidential elections on April 11, the situation is repeated. The reason is the absence of electoral notices with the indication of the place of voting.
"I called the CEC hotline - 115, where they told me that my name was not on the voters" lists. Consequently, in these lists there are no names of all the other tenants registered in our high-rise building either. Then I asked where I should go to vote, and I was told this is the electoral commission N22 and the 15th election district: Block 638 Baghirova Street.
When I tried to clarify exactly where the site was located, the girl from the hotline replied irritably that I should appeal to the 22nd constituency.
I could hardly take her contact phone - 4499972 and find out the name of the head of the polling station. I was reluctantly told his name was Vaghif Gasimov. But the phone that the girl from the CEC gave, is silent," said one of the residents of the house.
In civilized countries, voter lists are published on the Internet, and everyone can find himself there and find out where he should vote.
In Azerbaijan, the problem of "losing" the names of voters has existed for many years and the CEC is not in a position to solve this problem. But the head of the CEC Mazahir Panahov, addressing journalists, talks about unique conditions and transparency in the field of elections, and that the whole world should learn from Azerbaijan how to organize elections. -02D-
