Ceremony on the occasion of awarding the Nobel Prize the EU
The EU representation in Baku held a ceremony on Monday on the occasion of the awarding the Nobel Peace Prize the European Union. According to the Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, Roland Kobia, the EU itself is a project of peace, and the main purpose of the organization is the accession of democracy.
Europe has witnessed terrible wars, and to put an end to this, the founders of the European Community have joined their forces on the continent for peace, stability and democracy.
Kobia also told about the EU's interest in the peaceful resolution of conflicts in the South Caucasus.
He expressed the belief that the Nobel Peace Prize will more inspire the EU's efforts to resolve the conflicts and stability, including the South Caucasus.
The French Ambassador, Pascal Monnier, made a speech, and then the participants watched a live broadcast from Oslo on awarding the Nobel prize.—06D-
