EU creates a Russian-language TV channel to counter the Kremlin propaganda
Poland and the Netherlands proposed Europe to create a Russian television channel to counter Russian propaganda, writes Delfi, said on 20 July in Brussels, Foreign Minister of Poland Grzegorz Schetyna. "We see this initiative as a Polish-Dutch, but want others to join us," he said. He noted that this project should be made available "free speech and free information" for Eastern Europe, Russia and the Russian-speaking minority in Eastern Europe. " The talk is about creating a new project, that guarantees not to use the language of propaganda and aggression, and to supply truthful, carefully verified information," said Schetyna. He added that the Russian-language TV channel can create a program that could use an already existing Russian-language media. -02D-
