Extraordinary session of Milli Majlis is over
Today the extraordinary session of Milli Majlis has come to an end. At the last meeting of the extraordinary session the parliamentarians approved 15 bills.
Note that today's session was the last for the deputies of Milli Majlis of the 6th convocation.
Earlier, they adopted an appeal to the President with a request to dissolve the Parliament and call early elections, as the next elections coincided in November with the global climate conference COP29 in Baku.
The day before, the Constitutional Court recognised the MPs' initiative as being in line with the Constitution.
In the coming days, or possibly already today, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev will sign a decree on the dissolution of the Parliament and announce the date of early elections to the Milli Majlis.
