Ilham Aliyev Becomes Presidential Candidate
Baku / 05.03.18 / Turan: On March 5, the head of the Central Election Commission, Mazahir Panahov, handed Ilham Aliyev a certificate of the presidential candidate.
According to Panahov, Ilham Aliyev is the first registered candidate in connection with the presidential elections on April 11.
In turn, Aliyev expressed confidence that the upcoming elections will be held transparently and fairly, in accordance with the laws of Azerbaijan, and reflect the will of the Azerbaijani people.
Fifteen people have submitted their documents for participation in the presidential elections. The opposition boycotts the upcoming voting. -02D-
