Ilham Aliyev's meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs
Baku / 12.12.20 / Turan: On Saturday, President Ilham Aliyev received the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs from France, Stefan Visconti and from the United States, Andrew Shofer. Instead of Russian co-chair Igor Popov, the Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Bocharnikov attended the meeting , and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk.
The details of the meeting were not disclosed. The co-chairs will go from Baku to Yerevan.
According to experts, the main topic of the talks is the status of Nagorno-Karabakh, as stated by the leaders of the three co-chair countries, as well as the participation of the military of other countries except Russia in the peacekeeping operation in the region.
Today, the assistant to the President of Azerbaijan on foreign policy Hikmet Hajiyev repeated the earlier announced statement by Ilham Aliyev that the concept of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict no longer exists. This should mean that Baku demands to reckon with the results of military operations, as the Armenian side previously demanded, refusing to negotiate. -02D-
