Klitschko: Ukraine Protests Will be Stronger than the "Orange Revolution"
In an article published in the German newspaper “Bild”, the leader of "IMPACT" called Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych "Putin's puppet," and said that in the near future millions of Ukrainian citizens will come out to the streets.
Demonstrations in Ukraine may become even more widespread than during the "Orange Revolution" nine years ago, said Vitali Klitschko, one of the leaders of the Ukrainian opposition. "I expect that in the coming days millions of people will come to the streets - more than ever before," said Klitschko in the December 12.
Klitschko harshly criticized Yanukovych, calling him a puppet of Russian President Vladimir Putin. "Yanukovych continues to cling to Russia cowardly" because, apparently, Moscow «has promised to support him in the election campaign," said the famous boxer.
"The fact that the government now demands from the EU 20 billion euros for the signing of an agreement that will bring us closer to Europe, is a red herring, » said the article. According to the Ukrainian politician, Yanukovych cannot and does not want to open the way for to European integration. -02D-
