Mammad Ibrahim Arrested for 10 Days (updated)
Baku / 27.02.20 / Turan: The Khatai District Court on Thursday arrested Mammad Ibrahim, Advisor to the Chairman of the Popular Front Party (PFPA), for 10 days.
He was found guilty under Article 535.1 (non-compliance with the lawful requirements of the police) of the Code of Administrative Offenses.
The PFPA regarded the arrest of Ibrahim as a political order.-21C-

PFPA activists detained
Baku / 25.02.20 / Turan: Members of the Presidium of the Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan (PFPA) Asif Yusifli and Mammad Ibrahim were detained and taken to the 37th branch of the Khatai district police department, according to Yusifli himself.
He said that the oppositionists were detained after visiting the Memorial to the victims of the Khojaly genocide.
“Mammad Ibrahim suffered from a kidney attack, and we went to the hospital. However, the police stopped us and said that we should not go - the roads were blocked.
Despite our requests, because in the car a patient with an acute attack, we were not allowed to drive. When Mammad Ibrahim said, “It was not their fault, but those who gave them such an order” that the police became embittered. Realizing that we were members of the PFPA, they reported to someone, after which they brought us to the department. There, Mammad Ibrahim was called an ambulance and was given an injection,” Yusifli said.
He, after filling out personal data, was released. Ibrahim was left in the department.
“Most likely he will be taken to court,” Yusifli suggested.
