Mammadyarov to Respond to Europe Inadequately
Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has joined the critics of the European Parliament resolution on Azerbaijan.
"The adoption of the resolution by the European Parliament has dealt a serious blow to Azerbaijan's relations with the European Union. The resolution put forward biased and defamatory claims against Azerbaijan,” he said at a press conference on September 16.
The Minister noted that the resolution used absurd and offensive language, beyond the ethical norms and contrary to the very essence of international relations: "This is unacceptable. The adoption of such a resolution cannot be of any diplomatic logic. Azerbaijan is an independent and sovereign state. No sovereign state will ever accept dictation and political pressure. Talking about the values, the European Parliament should deal with more serious problems, including issues of racial discrimination, xenophobia, chauvinism, Islam phobia, radicalism, extremism and inhuman treatment against migrants."
"We declare that any organization that chooses such an unethical form of expression against Azerbaijan will receive a response in adequate and inadequate forms from us," said Mammadyarov. -06D--
